The old train station in Bowling Green has been restored by local volunteers and they are slowly adding to their assortment of restored vintage rail cars as resources allow. Train buffs will have fun touring the engine, mail car, dining car, sleeping car, and Presidential sleeping car used by the President of L&N Railroad for his personal and business travel. Inside the restored depot are interactive displays, railroad memorabilia, and a chance to see some beautifully restored 1920s architecture and decor (if there isn't a wedding going on when you're there). The docents know their stuff and are passionate about trains.
