Actual model used in the original 1972 movie The Poseidon Adventure. It's 22 feet long and weighs three tons, and is now housed in the Maritime Museum in San Pedro Harbor.
The model is a scale replica of the Queen Mary, which is docked in nearby Long Beach. What's interesting is that the author of the original Poseidon adventure book, Paul Gallico was on the Queen Mary in his youth when it was hit by a rogue wave during the crossing and nearly went over on its side. That incident is what inspired the novel, so the fact that the Poseidon was modeled after the Queen Mary is an interesting coincidence.
