Grave of Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen

Marie Laveau: was she just a 19th century hairdresser, or was she really the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans? Her popular grave suggests that most folks vote for the Voodoo.

Grave of Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen

It was an interesting cemetery with several "points on interest." Marie's grave was kind of difficult to find, but found it. There was an eerie feeling around it with markings and various objects at her grave as well as others nearby. I didn't take a guided tour when I visited in 2014, but as I listened in on some of them, I wish I would have.
