A single, giant Pepsi can stands visible East of I-29 near Worthing, SD. At first glance the can appeared to be inflatable so I wasn't going to bother to stop, but once we got closer I could see that it was self-supporting in some way. I was hoping that it would turn out to be made of concrete and serve no purpose in the world other than to be a giant Pepsi can, but it was indeed a metal tank of some sort painted like a giant Pepsi can. The Pepsi can seemed to be a tad shorter than the rival Coke can down in Tennessee, but this can can be seen for miles in any direction, so I guess that counts for something.
[Greg Brown, 10/13/2001]May 2005 - tipster Jacquie reports the can moved off of the farm and relocated to the nearby gas station; directions are updated.
