This museum is a treasure. They are only open Saturday 10-2. The founder gives the tours herself and she is passionate about baseball and about Joe, even friends with family's descendants. Charming from inside to out. Notice the cleat prints in the cement walk, then they stop at a bench and barefoot prints up to the house.

Just about a block away from the statue of Shoeless Joe Jackson is a museum honoring Joe. The museum is located in the house where Joe Jackson and his wife lived in the 1940s. It was relocated to this spot, and contains lots of hands-on memorabilia. You can tour the place on your own, or a guide will be glad to tell you his story. If you're a fan of baseball, or the movies Field of Dreams or Eight Men Out, this place is a treasure. The museum director and her husband are full of facts about Joe and lots of down-home southern hospitality.
