Younger's Bend was a haven for 19th century outlaws (and their mythology), including Belle Starr, "Queen of the Bandits," buried in a grave along a trail off the highway.

- Approximately 1.1 miles east of Lake Eufaula dam driving from dam on HWY 71. From I-40 at Warner, OK, go south on Hwy 2 past Porum, OK to the intersection of HWY 71 and head west. Private property, obey posted access signs.

The address of 2910 Highway 71 in Porum, Oklahoma takes you to a small driveway where the historical marker is located, as well as a short climb up the hill to her burial site. Also, we found a house behind a gate/fence that we assumed was her home place.

Final resting place of Belle Starr. Recently added historical site marker. Easy walk up a trail to the grave site, with markers along the way. Remainder of site under private ownership and undergoing restoration.
