Two thousands years after the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, the small town of Hermann erected a statue in honor of its Germanic namesake. Hermann is in the Missouri Rhineland, is the state's sausage capital, and celebrates Oktoberfest and Maifest.

Germany's Liberator is in the middle of rural Missouri. Hero of the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, Arminus (aka "Hermann") liberated parts of Germany permanently from Roman occupation. Two thousands years later the small town of Hermann erected a statue in honor of its namesake. The statue is surrounded by a small garden.
