Happy Halfwit Muffler Man

A Halfwit Muffler Man has appeared at Arnold's Fun Zone in Oaks. According to the owner, it's one of the two that were in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, on the pier.

When I was in Seaside Heights this summer I could only find one of the two you have listed (The one at the rooftop mini-golf). So this is the other one. It got damaged and removed in Hurricane Sandy and these guys somehow acquired it, repainted it, and put it up three weeks ago. It's in really great shape.

Halfwit Muffler Man after Hurricane Sandy.

Halfwit Muffler Man

I went over to Seaside Heights, NJ last season after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the boardwalk, on the weekend of the soft opening, and was only able to find two of the Half Wit Muffler Men that were there before. One was back in its former spot looking over a newly rebuilt boardwalk. After some poking, we found the second Halfwit laying in a lot a few blocks away from the Boardwalk. It was in a pile of other debris being stored.

Sept. 2014: The Halfwit in the pile of debris has been moved to Oaks, PA and was restored and now on display.
