Toth's exclusive use of tree trunks as a carving medium has resulted in over 70 extremely skinny, extremely tall Indian heads scattered across the U.S. and Canada. This is one of them.

Peter Toth Whispering Giant Sculpture

One of Peter Toth's huge wooden Indian Heads; part of his "Whispering Giants" series. He's carved 74 of them around the U.S. The one in Red Lodge is 25 feet tall and is made from a Ponderosa Pine. It was completed in October 1979.
