Called the "Kraus Campo," the main 60-ft. x 25-ft. platform of number tiles is sculpted in the shape of a French curve. Artist Mel Bochner designed it for this campus garden in 2004. Wall quote is philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein.

At the intersection of Margaret Morrison and Tech streets on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University is the Posner Center. To the left of the entrance is a staircase that leads to this cool public art space with a winding path, huge quotes and a large space with numbers on it -- perfect for an impromptu picnic or private conversation. My kids also like to make up games that involve running and jumping on certain number combinations.
Close by is the equally cool "Walking to the Sky" statue.
