The town of Babylon has used old gravestones with errors as jetties to protect the beach. There are two spots to see them. One is at the entrance to Oak Beach in the main parking lot, at the southeast corner of the beach. And if you drive down the the road to the right about a three quarters of a mile, there is a community center, and behind it is another batch of gravestones. Some are even face up where you can see the names.
