The Dutch-Canadian citizens of Goderich dedicated a water fountain in 1970 on the 25th anniversary of the Dutch liberation from the Nazis. This was their way to show their appreciation to all the Canadians who helped in the victory. The fountain is in front of the Goderich Visitor Centre and resembles four abstract figures holding raised hands. A large pair of wooden shoes is nearby.
