Built out of wrecked amusement pier rides, the fire-engine-red skeletal metal fireplug stands on Wildwood's only dogs-allowed beach. Detailed with bones, dog paws, and a squirrel perched on top. Unveiled August 15, 2014.

It sure is big -- Clifford the dog would be in heaven. When your GPS brings you there you're not quite at the location. It's on the beach -- go up onto the boardwalk and back down.

We stopped by to see the fire hydrant, but since we had been away from our pup for a week, I also loved on the dogs at the dog park. Everyone was very friendly. and it was well kept.

Located on the beach in a gated area specifically designated for dogs, this hydrant can easily be seen from the boardwalk at the end of E. Poplar Ave. in Wildwood, NJ.
