Everett, Massachusetts: $28.2 Million Statue of Popeye (Gone)
Art schlockmeister Jeff Koons had his assistants build a seven-foot-tall Popeye out of a ton of mirror-polished steel. Las Vegas billionaire Steve Wynn bought it for an obscene amount of money. Moved in 2019 to a casino in Massachusetts because, according to its president, Popeye has a "connection to the water." Gone by 2020.
