Been visiting Solvang a few times this year. Motels have windmills, shoe stores have wooden shoes and they have the greatest Danish pastries and baked goods in California (every time we go on highway 101 we stop for that). The town has a merry go round and a motorcycle museum and lots of shops selling everything and anything that is Danish. Near the last weekend of September, the town has "Danish Days" with parades, dancing and vikings on motorcycles.
