"Old Snowdrift" eluded his pursuers for nearly 20 years until he was the last surviving wild wolf in Montana. Then he was shot. He was displayed in the courthouse for decades; now he's in a glass box in a trading post.

Old Snowdrift, Last Wolf in Montana
Nice little cafe, guitar shop and hardware store in the building. The museum covers local history, with lots of old pictures on the wall. Old Snowdrift sits mightily inside his box in the middle of the walkway down to the restrooms.
[Jennifer Coyne, 07/27/2021]It was the biggest silver wolf caught in the 1950s or '60s that was terrorizing the community. It is located in the town's city center, between the coffee and gift shop. You have to go inside to view it.
