South edge of the city. From downtown drive south on Pearl St., under the elevated highway. You'll come to an open space and Perry Blvd will intersect Pearl St. on the right. Look to the left. You'll see a pedestrian footbridge. Shark Girl sits at the left end of that footbridge.

Described by its sculptor, Casey Riordan Millard, as a mix of Alice (from Alice in Wonderland) and a Great White Shark. Unveiled by the mayor of Buffalo on August 26, 2014, and praised as an example of "new thinking" by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which co-sponsored its creation. Shark-headed Shark Girl sits on a rock with a space next to her for visitors. Snapshots are encouraged.
