The West Virginia State Penitentiary is historical and very haunted! Ghost tours available. Great tours and tour guides.

The West Virginia State Penitentiary Tour was very informative... The tour guide did a great job explaining the history and stories of the building, prisoners, and everyday life. The gothic style of the building and architecture is a must see!

They do night tours on Saturdays and even overnight tours. You have to buy the special tours online -- check ahead for scheduling, I don't think they do the long ones year round. The day tour was really interesting; we saw a lot of cool stuff.
