Daphne, Alabama: See Alligators from Town Boardwalk
"Alligator Alley" is the name of a boardwalk built by the town of Daphne specifically to allow visitors to view Daphne's scaly wild critters in their natural habitat. The gators are most active in Spring and Fall.

- Directions:
- I-10 exit 35 or 35A. Drive south on US Hwy 98 for about a mile. Turn left at the stoplight onto Van Buren St. Drive to the next stoplight and turn left onto N. Main St. Drive a half-mile. You'll see the small parking lot on the left.

There are no fences or safety precautions, so it's a little scary, but so worth it! We went in February and saw a couple of alligators.

Short little scenic walk along the water. Saw one gator floating along...keeping up with us. Pretty sure he was sizing up our kids for lunch haha! It's worth a stop even if just for a few minutes to get out and stretch your legs.
