New Franken, Wisconsin: Virgin Mary was Here, Confirmed by Bishop
Adele Brise ran into the Virgin Mary floating above a dirt road in the woods in Oct. 1859. A church was built on the site and miraculously survived the 1871 Peshtigo Fire (Sister Adele prayed for V. Mary protection). In 2010 Bishop David Ricken of Green Bay issued a decree approving the apparitions, the only apparition site in the U.S. to receive Church approval.
