There is so much art on Peter Toth's property, that you can barely see his actual house. His paintings are on big pieces of glass, and many of those have painted tongues on them. The wood carvings are quite good, actually. He also paints random driftwood that he's found on the beach. You can park right behind his outdoor gallery on the grass.
[Randy Hoopes, 03/23/2021]He sustained a lot of damage from Hurricane Matthew. I'd suggest calling first if you're thinking of visiting.

We visited the Toth Galley and he wasn't there. I talked to him on the phone and he was very nice. He was in Ohio with his sick brother.
[Jackie Solomon, 08/01/2016]Toth is sometimes away from his Gallery during the summer months, repairing one of his many giant Indian head sculptures, which are scattered across the U.S.
We called, and Peter Toth was out of town for a month, but will absolutely try again when we come back down. He was great on the phone, and that makes us want to go back even more! There is quite a bit to see even without going in.

Amazing roadside art business on Highway 1. Very unique "stump art," with the bases of trees carved into faces and fish. Several variations of a bosomy angel holding a baby. Rather intimidating faces carved into trees; many displays outside. We were afraid to call for an appointment for a full tour. Very impressive art.
