La Jolla, California: Teddy Bear Made of Boulders
Known simply as "Bear," its stands nearly 24 feet tall and weighs 180 tons. Created by Tim Hawkinson in 2005 as a feat of structural engineering, Bear is made of eight unaltered granite boulders somehow bolted together so that they don't collapse.

Parking on campus can be tricky. I was able to find a lot next to the building that charged $1 for 45 minutes. Ample time [to see the Teddy Bear], but be prepared for that.
