"Jeff," a 7-foot tall fossil skeleton of a giant ground sloth (Megalonyx Jeffersoni), is the centerpiece in this cool little geological museum, located in Orton Hall, the oldest building (1893) on the Ohio State University campus. Located next to Jeff is Dunkleosteus, a 20-foot long carnivorous fish that ruled the seas 380 million years ago when Ohio was located south of the equator and was covered by a tropical ocean.
