The Hitlers were a pioneer family who moved from Maryland to Ohio in 1799. They became successful wheat farmers, and in 1867 they started a family cemetery with the Ludwig family. The cemetery is on Hitler Road #1, and Circleville also has a Hitler Park. The city and family refuse to change their names just because of Adolf and World War II; they had the name first and have no shame in their family name. It's interesting to see so many headstones with "Hitler" on them (There is also a family named "Berlin" buried there). If you go, remember to be respectful as it is a cemetery.
