The SS American Victory is one of one four surviving fully-operational WWII ships left in the USA. You can visit the entire ship, from the cargo hold to the bridge. "Victory" ships were built fast, cheap, with no intention they'd still be afloat over 80 years later.

- American Victory Ship Mariners Memorial Museum. I-275 exit 44. Drive south on Tampa St. for one mile. When the street goes under the freeway, turn right onto Franklin St., then immediately left onto Channelside Drive. Drive a half-mile to the Florida Aquarium parking lot on the right. The ship is docked behind the aquarium.
