Everly Brothers Phil and Don spent part of their youth in the Central City area. A stone monument erected in 1988 kicked off a long-running Everly Brother festival held annually by the town.

The monument has moved to the outside of the Music and Motorsports Museum at corner of North First and Morehead Streets. Additional items added. There is a ton more Everly Brothers stuff in the museum.

Central City is the home of the Everly Brothers and so the city placed a monument to the brothers in front of the Central City Tourism Commission.
