Directions:: South edge of downtown. I-20 exits 18A or 18D. Drive north a quarter-mile on Common St. Make sharp left onto Texas Ave., then first left onto Crockett St. You'll see the Dalmatian ahead on the right.

19-Foot-Tall Dalmatian

"Art" is 19-foot-tall statue peeking in the window of the Central ARTSTATION. He is said to be the guardian of the arts in Northwest Louisiana. During the day he seems to be a white statue of a dalmatian, but at night his spots light up. The community supported the statue by purchasing dots. They can type their name into a kiosk and their dot lights up. "Art" was designed by William Joyce and Brandon Oldenberg and paid for with a grant from the Educational Foundation of America.

The dots also light up without any keystroking, but it must feel good to light your dot whenever you want.
