Sparky the Firehouse Dog Rock

You've gotta love a giant rock with a dog painted on it. Sparky guards over the firemen and makes sure that they get back safe. Roadside America continues to amaze me with all the cool things I can find.

Sparky the Firehouse Dog Rock

There is a large rock painted as a beloved firehouse dog named Sparky. It is in the parking lot adjacent to the Montville Fire Department.

[RS, 11/16/2014]

Sparky was Montville's last fire dog. He died in 1984, but the firehouse keeps his memory alive by constantly repainting the rock that looks like him, kind of. Dec. 2014: Photo added.
