Belmont, California: Flag, Hat Made of Human Hair (Gone)

The hair business remains, but there's no sign of things made out of hair in the windows.

U.S. Flag Made Out of Human Hair, Hair Hat

We went to Great Clips to inquire about the Hair Flag and were greeted with looks of confusion and disgust. The Flag is actually across the street, on the SE corner at a place called Michael's Hair Design. The flag is no longer in the window -- it has been replaced by a Hat Made of Human Hair. Apparantly there is a dress made of hair as well, but it is not on display.

Hair flag.

U.S. flag made of human hair

In the strip mall, there is a hair salon -- I believe it's called 'Great Clips', but I can't remember for sure. In the window of this salon is a proud display of patriotism -- an American flag, made of human hair! The flag is about four feet tall; and the flag has been so carefully constructed that it has perfect ripples. (Obviously, a great deal of time and care was put into it.) There is a little sign indicating that it is made of human hair. It's in the window; so it is visible at all hours.

"What so proudly we hairrrrr...."
