- I-40 exit 33 (Hector Rd). Turn south, then immediately turn east along the frontage road (Old Route 66/National Trails Hwy). Drive 4.5 miles. Turn right onto Pisgah Crater Rd and drive south two miles to the crater. Some parts are off-limits due to commercial mining; no trespassing on those.
