As with other holy homes (such as Lincoln's log cabin), the shack where Muddy Waters lived as a sharecropper, just outside town, was moved indoors and preserved in 2001. A life-size statue of Muddy sits inside. Also in the museum: the outdoor sign from the roadhouse where Robert Johnson was poisoned.

If you love the Delta Blues Music, the whole museum is worth your time. Photos not allowed inside. Great music in the museum, which is the old train depot. Good gift shop. Maie was very helpful!
[Mary Keown, 10/26/2019]The whole museum was more than I expected. Would love to have photos to share but they're not allowed. It's great! While your'e there, plan to support one of the downtown businesses. They need our help!
