At the Mai-Kai restaurant, the "Grand Polynesian Palace of Tiki." Music, dancing, colorful costumes, and fire. Audience members are invited onstage to learn how to dance. Open since 1956, but currently closed to take on new owners. Still impressive from outside.

This place had a severe fire and it is closed. The business says it is unknown if and when they might reopen.

Have dinner and stay for the show! Hula girls and fire dancers entertain you in an intimate setting. The Mai Kai is an authentic Polynesian restaurant that opened in 1956 and looks to be unchanged. Check out the gardens that are adorned with tiki gods and a waterfall. We will be going back again!

According to the Mai-Kai website it was a burst water pipe, not a fire, that shut the place down. "It is our hope and our desire to see the Mai-Kai reopen with all its original splendor."
