It is a well crafted wall of mostly white people from Danville and the land before it. Chief Keannekeuk is represented; shows people who helped elevate the towns name in sports, space exploration, popular arts, military, and politics.
There is no representation of Eugene Radio Thompson, who was the first black resident elected to the city council in 1987 because of the fight of the Seven Plantiffs who turned the tide to even out the rights of black voters. Or representation of the first black firehouse in IL in 1898.
