Sculptor George Sugarman built this 19-ton abstract landmark for a downtown Tampa bank in 1985. Critics and fans alike call it "The Exploding Chicken." Donated to the city in 2010 and moved to this location in 2013.

The Exploding Chicken is located in the center of a roundabout, so not really easy to get a picture. Parking wasn't readily available; my husband dropped me off to take pictures while he drove around it several times. Funny but true. The sculpture looked to be in fine condition.
