Montreal, Quebec, Canada: Le Proliferateur: Big Slingshot (Gone)
A 49-foot-tall slingshot was carved from the trunk and branches of a big, dead tree. Not operational; it was a sculptural tribute to a 1987 film. The eventually rotted and was cut down circa 2020.

- In the Parc La Fontaine, just north of the lake, in downtown Montreal. The former tree stands by itself, so it's fairly easy to spot.

"Le Proliferateur" is a tribute to director Frederic Back and his 1987 film, "The Man Who Planted Trees." It's a 49-foot-high slingshot made from a dead poplar in the center of Parc La Fontaine in Montreal. The artist who sculpted the tree was Melsa Montagne Nicolas Des Ormeaux.
