Titusville, Florida: Large Shrimps with Top Hats

"Royal Red Shrimp," who wear white gloves, bow ties, and top hats, are the cartoon mascots of a restaurant that's been open since 1983. Statues of the shrimp, roughly four feet tall, populate the grounds, and there's a photo-op bench where you can sit next to several.

1475 Garden St., Titusville, FL
Outside the Dixie Crossroads seafood restaurant. I-95 exit 220. Drive east on Hwy 406 for two miles. On the right, just after the flower shop, is the restaurant entrance with its Royal Red Shrimp guards. The photo op with the shrimp and bench is about a hundred feet back into the parking lot, next to the entrance canopy that shelters tour buses when they unload.

Large Shrimps with Top Hats

There are also even more top hat shrimp if you take a casual tour inside of this very busy restaurant. There's an interesting history wall and a large display of signed astronaut photos, too.
