Stopped by this park while visiting the other unique places throughout Gila Bend. This is a very nice memorial and is a great place to reflect on the terrorist attacks in the US. As an added bonus, they have a live cactus that is one of the tallest I've ever seen in person.

Very subtly powerful. Quite humbling to be so close to such an iconic relic. According to the Chamber of Commerce: "Gila Bend is one of a few Arizona cities that was granted a metal beam section salvaged from the New York Twin Towers Ground Zero site following the 9-11 attack in 2001." On Pima street next to historic Stout hotel.
