Tattoo Charlie started tattooing in 1973 after learning from an old tattooer in Cave City. During the following 30 years his collection of tattoo antiques grew to become one of the largest in the nation. Selected items from Charlie's collection are on display at Tattoo Charlie's, and include flash (tattoo designs) from the 1920s through the 1960s, vintage tattoo machines, and the crown jewel of the collection, Joe and Mabel Darpel's travel trunk from the 1950s.
