Porterville, California: Big Farmer
Sculpted out of concrete by dentist Ken Fox in 1976, the "Salute to the Farmer" is not as big as some of his other creations. The farmer sits on his plow, staring into his hands. He's supposed to be studying the rich loam of the earth, but it looks like he's watching a kitten video on his phone.

It's in North Park. If you're heading west on Henderson Ave, take a right on Main Street and you can take another immediate right into a small parking space. The tiny park also happens to be the Historic Landmark # 473 Tule River Stage Station.
