An Alice in Wonderland caterpillar sits on a polka dot red mushroom, made from old tires by travel center mechanics. Reported gone in April 2024, but its absence may be temporary.

Not only is the "Caterpillar of Tires" behind the Flying J, they've now added a green "Frog of Tires." The Frog is immediately to the left of the Caterpillar, and would be nearly impossible to miss if you drive around to the rear (north) side of the Flying J. Love the creativity! Would be extra-great for small children to see.

Still here, watching over the repair shop. Exit the north door of the truck stop, turn to your right and walk past the truck fuel pumps.

We stopped here for a break on 5/14/15 and there was no tire caterpillar! It must have been a temporary attraction.

Someone with an artistic flare found a clever use for all those used tires. It's located by the shop bay doors, between them and the door to the main building.
