Hot Wheels collection.

4,750 Hot Wheels

The Hot Wheels cars and a collection of 300 Barbies belonged to Robert Hasuike, a master model maker for Mattel for 35 years. He willed his collection to be housed in the Library of the Millville Army Air Field Museum due to his experience living at Seabrook Farms, a community in Upper Deerfield Township, NJ, where he and his family settled and worked after being confined to an internment camp during WWII. Seabrook contributed greatly to the refurbishing of the building that now holds Mr. Hasuike's collection.

To see it, one must enter the Museum building and ask one of the staff or volunteers to take you over to the Library building, which is usually only open for special events. The Barbies are on display, but the Hot Wheels cars are in collapsible cases that fold out, so only a few hundred can be seen at a time.
