Many scenes from Dirty Dancing were filmed here. Great drive up the mountain and plenty of hiking trails. Make sure you do Bald Knob - great overlook!

If you are an '80s era teen, it's a must-see spot! The cabins and The Lodge were all used as movie backdrops.

So worth the trip! Great picnic spot, and you can even stay at the cabin where Baby and her family stayed in the movie.

This rock is up at Mountain Lake Lodge which is located up a winding road alongside the only natural lake in the southern Applachian portion of Virginia. The views on the way up and down are gorgeous, but the Lodge itself is only open May to November. Near the rock, there is also a small Dirty Dancing museum dedicated to the parts filmed there at the Lodge and the Mountain Lake.
