A couple of blocks from I-70, in an urban renewal section of Columbus. Statue sits off the street with a small park behind. Behind that is a huge new Kroger grocery store, so easy parking.
Perfect stop for lunch, especially with a dog.

There is a large statue of King Gambrinus, (a legendary Flemish king who is believed to be the inventor of beer), outside the former Gambrinus Brewery in Columbus. Founded in 1906 by German immigrant August Wagner, the brewery was in business until 1974 when the land was sold and the brewery was demolished.
Luckily the King's statue was preserved and he now stands in a small park on the grounds. Over 12 feet tall, the King looked life-size from the ground when he was positioned above the brewery entrance.
