Colorful Buddhist Temple
Not exactly sure why this is here, but it's amazing. Lived here for years and never knew it existed. Awesome find.
[Jake Mitchell, 04/25/2015]Colorful Buddhist Temple
There is a very colorful Buddhist temple on the east side of Columbus. It was dedicated on 6-13-2009 and is known as the Watlao Buddhamamakaram, which translates as Lao Buddhist Temple. It was built by the local Laotian community and is an important gathering place for them. The temple is very ornate, with two sets of dragons on both sides of the steps leading to the front entrance. There are spires and golden flames on the roof, and lots of decorative columns all around the building.
