Directions:: On the grounds of the Edward Lowe Foundation. From Cassopolis drive east two miles on Hwy 60, then north about three miles on Decatur Rd. You'll see the fancy gated entrance to the Lowe estate on the left (west) side. The Muffler Man is about 1.5 miles in, hidden in a clearing in the woods along with several railroad cars.

I found another Muffler Man. He's located on the grounds of the Edward Lowe Foundation. Edward Lowe made his fortune in kitty litter, and the foundation is his legacy. The Muffler Man is a statue of Casey Jones. The Foundation hosts tours; just call for details.

Ed Lowe bought the Muffler Man, who had stood in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and had him customized as "Casey Jones." Then Lowe set up the big guy on his private estate, encircled by several real railroad cars.
