Mesa, Arizona: The Phoenix Arrow
1,000 feet long and 100 feet wide, a giant arrow and the word PHOENIX point the way to the airport 22 miles west. Built out of arranged rocks on a hillside by Boy Scouts in the early 1950s.

- N. Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ
- Directions:
- Northeast edge of the city. Hwy 202/Red Mountain Fwy exit 24. Drive east two miles on McKellips Rd. Turn left at the stoplight onto N. Ellsworth Rd. Drive 2.5 miles. You'll see the arrow on the left. You can turn left and park on Microwave Tower Rd, or at the gun range just north of it.
