Sfanthor! House of Wax
There's a new wax museum in Austin -- the creation of Steve and Veronica Busti (owners of Austin's Museum of the Weird). Sfanthor! House of Wax is in a building resembling a B-flick Gothic castle. It houses figures in dramatic poses and lighting, mostly from the classic era of horror and sci-fi films (1930s-1950s) -- Dracula, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Creature from the Black Lagoon... Steve notes that the museum just opened in March, and that it's a work in progress; he's adding more monsters during its inaugural summer.
