Kettleman City, California: Bravo Land

A pee break turns into a trip to a Wild West town for kids, fake grass nirvana for dogs, and a Tree Log of Revised History.

Bring some dollars for the various shooting galleries upstairs and downstairs. The taxidermy above one of the doors sings and tells dad jokes. This is a quality attraction!

A total tourist trap, but also worth the stop. Cheese samples, dog park, great photo ops, a kids' wonderland, and a good halfway point between Los Angeles and the Bay.

Everything in the main description is fairly accurate. Although there are a few interesting items, some may label this place as a roadside tourist trap. Regardless, its right off the interstate and a good place to stop and stretch your legs. There was plenty of parking available when I visited.

If you're on the 99 and need to stop, I'd say skip this one and check out the Bravo Farms tree house in Traver. Much more interesting than this large but rather run of the mill (for RA fans) rest stop.
