San Antonio, Texas: U.S. Military Dog Monument
Bronze monument features a soldier and one each of the four most popular dog breeds used by the U.S. military: Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, and Belgian Malinois. Inscribed with the words "Guardians of America's Freedom." Unveiled in 2014.

- Lackland Air Force Base. West of the city. Drive west on US Hwy 90. Exit at Lackland AFB. Turn left onto Military Drive. Drive a half-mile. Turn right onto Luke Blvd. Pass through the guarded gate (ID required, tell them where you're going) drive a quarter-mile, then turn right onto Holloman Ave. Drive a quarter-mile, then park in the lot on the left. The monument is at the back of the parking lot, at the southeast corner of the parade field.
