Museum of Death

Not for the faint of heart! Very educational and gory. Be ready to spend time reading. And don't forget to get a memento on your way out!

Museum of Death

This museum was the coolest thing we did in New Orleans. We easily spent an hour and a half, but could have spent an hour or two more if they weren't closing. The proprietor was friendly and answered my questions. Some epic t-shirts and stuff for sale.

Museum of Death

The owner of the Museum of Death in Hollywood, who had the show Death Dealers on the Science channel, has opened another museum in New Orleans. His brother is the caretaker! Real shrunken head and lots of serial killer stuff. Old bones and taxidermy, embalming stuff and other things.

It has only been open 3 months and they are waiting on some plaques for the exhibits. Because they are a museum they must make sure their exhibited history is true so it doesn't mislead you. This is where the fantastic gentlemen in the museum come in. Ask them about anything and they will tell you what they know about an item. Not your usual tour stuff (unless you do the creepy stuff in New Orleans).
